Over the last six months, SPARK: Keele’s Physics and Astrophysics society, has been competing in the UKSEDS National Rocketry Competition.1 The results of this competition were recently released with SPARK landing with a first place victory.
As part of this competition the team had to design, build, and launch a rocket with a scientific purpose. SPARK chose to investigate the Magnus Effect: a particular effect consequence of Bernoulli’s Principle.2 You can read more about the Bernoulli’s Principle in their paper.
